The silver gilt copper alloy brooch caddy is compound and consists of an upper half-square panel, a semi-circular band, and numerous applied elements. Four simple protruding panels divide the side exterior into four fields, filled with a molded openwork jellied animal weave backed by an applied copper alloy band. There are four mounting holes at the top for the missing center boss and appliqués. Only four pyramidal structures, resembling houses or animal figures, riveted to each of the half-corner pieces remain. The riveted back plate and pin are missing. It may have been burned.
