Mjolnir (Thor's Hammer)

This is an amulet representing Mjölnir, the hammer of the god Thor. The archaeological find dates from around 1000 and was found in the Ödeshög - Östergötland in Sweden.

The amulet thus dates from a period when the conflict between the ancient pagan tradition and the new Christian foreign religion was in full swing. It also seems that the wearing of the Thor hammer was particularly common among Nordic Pagans as a reaction to the brutal campaigns of Christianization. Thus he considered his attachment to the ancient gods and his loyalty to the traditions of his ancestors to be pagan.

The original hammer was found in Odeshoga in 1875 with a treasure trove of 100 gold coins. A real pagan treasure. At the bottom of the Mjolnir you can see the entanglement, whose symbolism is related to the labyrinth and the snake biting its tail. The entanglement includes the power of evolution and the cyclical forces of involution. At the top of the hammer, two bulging eyes represent Thor's eyes as God enters the fury of battle.
