Terrace Evert Taube

The Evert Taube Terrace is a cobblestone spot on the western riddarholmen in Stockholm. The terrace is located between Wrangel Palace and Riddarfjorden and is part of the northern port of Riddarholm. On the terrace Evert Taube since 1990 there is a statue of Taube created by Willie Gordon.

The terrace Evert Taube was built in the early 1960s and got its name in 1983 after the troubadour Evert Taube. In 1990, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Taube, a bronze sculpture of Willie Gordon representing Evert Taube in sombrero and poncho was installed. He holds his lute in one hand and shows Riddarfiarden and Sodermalm where he lived in the other. The Stockholm City Hall is behind him. The sculpture was a gift from friends of friends of Evert Taube. The pedestal is carved from granite from Vinga, the birthplace of Taub in.

In the southwest part of the terrace is the sculpture of Christian Berg "Solar Boat", built in 1966.
